Egg credit card review
THE Egg credit card is a really superb all-round credit card.
As well as a 0% balance transfer offer that's hard to beat, big spenders will get big discounts with a 0% purchases offer and cash back at over 1,500 big name retailers.
The Egg credit card's 0% balance transfer deal is sure to please the rate tarts amongst us, offering zero interest until 1 September 2011 - that's almost 14 months!
Even if you don't have a high-interest credit card balance festering elsewhere you could be quids in with the Egg credit card.
The Egg cash back store - essentially a re-branded Quidco but with Egg-exclusive offers and no annual fee - gives an average of 10% cashback, though for big-ticket items it can be much higher.
The Egg credit card also wins top marks for cardholder extras, offering up a selection of free services including purchase protection, an online fraud guarantee and travel accident insurance too.
Taken together, that little lot will help to keep you, your money and your purchases safe and you don't have to do anything but pay with your Egg credit card.
The Egg credit card has brand appeal, it looks good and has a solid reputation, but more than that it is a really great credit card to use again and again, whether to keep your purchases and money safe or for rate tarts who can now transfer to a 0% rate until 2011.

Including most of the biggest names in retail such as Tesco.com, ASDA, Woolworths, Halfords, Jessops, Dixons, Currys, Dabs.com, Burton, Carphone Warehouse, Expedia, M&S, Play.com, Apple Store, Debenhams and many many more.
The Egg Cash Back Store is powered by Quidco - one of the UK's leading cash back stores. Egg card customers however get additional benefits, including exclusive offers and no fees for using the service.
Looking after you
The Egg credit card offers up a service that makes using a credit card what it should be; safe and secure, looking after your money and your purchases.
As an Egg credit card cardholder you'll receive free worldwide purchase protection insurance and free Internet delivery guarantee insurance as well. There are certain limits and exclusions apply - so always check the policy.
For example, the purchase protection insurance will only apply if you pay in full and in one transaction with the Egg card - this is unlike standard Section 75 cover which covers purchases even if only part of the cost is paid by the credit card, so make sure you fully understand the cover before using it.
Your money will also be protected too, with Egg's active fraud monitoring and a dedicated case manager if any fraudulent activity is found. You won't be held liable for any fraudulent transactions you report that are unauthorised and not a result of acting fraudulently or without care.
So with the Egg credit card you can shop online happily, in the knowledge that both your purchases and your money will be kept safe.
The Egg credit card also provides free travel accident insurance when you pay for your trip with the card. You and your family will be covered against serious injury and death whilst abroad for up to £50,000. Please remember though, this is not a substitute for comprehensive travel insurance.
Final word
However you want to save money or make money the Egg credit card is one you'll want to keep hold of, bringing with it some fabulous shopping rewards and money back offers.
The Egg credit card is great for saving money too, offering a market leading 0% balance transfer deal over the next 14 months.
